What type of pools do you offer for soccer during EPL season?
Box Pool
Premier League players are organized into balanced “boxes.” Participants choose one player per box to build their team.
- Ideal for: Large groups, office competitions, fundraisers
- Use a preset template or create your own
Draft Pool
Players are selected one at a time in a live or online draft, with no duplicate picks.
- Best for: Small, competitive leagues
- Each EPL player can only be selected once
Open Pool
Admins define custom roster rules (e.g., 3 FWD, 5 MID, 4 DEF, 1 GK).

Participants pick winners of each week’s EPL matches. Points are awarded for correct picks.

What is International Tournament Pick’em?
International Tournament Pick’em is a fun, easy-to-play format offered by OfficePools for major global soccer competitions like the:
- FIFA World Cup
- UEFA Euro Championship
- Copa América

Participants predict the outcome of each match in the tournament (Win, Draw, or Loss), and earn points for correct picks.

How do you create an International Tournament pick’em pool?
Once you’ve selected “Pick’em Pool” and chosen your international tournament (e.g., FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro, Copa América), follow these steps to complete your setup:
Step 1: General Settings
- Pool Name:
- Give your pool a custom name (e.g., World Cup 2024 Pick’em Challenge).
- Start and End Dates:
- The Start and End Dates are automatically set to match the full tournament schedule. However, you can adjust these dates if you’d like to limit the picking period to only part of the tournament.

- Optional Features:
- Enable Trash Talk – Allows poolies to chat within the pool
- Show Team Owners in Standings – Displays real names and profile pictures in the leaderboard
Step 2: Scoring Settings
- Max Picks per Game Day:
- Set how many matches poolies can pick each day (default allows picks for all available games).
- Drop Lowest Periods (Optional):
- Choose to drop 0–4 of a poolie’s lowest-scoring match days or weeks from their total score. Helpful for longer tournaments or to allow a buffer for missed picks.
- Scoring Type:
- The format is Straight-Up only — participants pick the match winner or select a draw.
- Default Scoring:
- 1 point is awarded per correct pick.
- Click Save to finalize your settings.
Step 3: Invite Poolies
Once your pool is created:
- Head to the Invites tab.
- Share the Shareable Invite Link for mass invites, or use Personal Invite Links for direct, one-time invitations.
Participants can begin making picks as soon as the tournament schedule is available.
How do I invite people to my International Tournament pick’em pool?
Once your Pick’em pool is set up, inviting participants is easy. You have two options:
1. Shareable Invite Link (Best for Groups)
- Go to the Invites tab in the Admin menu.
- Copy the Shareable Invite Link and send it via email, text, or social media.
- This link can be used multiple times and allows for multiple team entries (if enabled).
2. Personal Invite Link (One-Time Use)
- In the Invites tab, select the Email option.
- Enter email addresses manually or select from previous pools.
- Click Add, then Send.
Note: Personal Invite Links are single-use and not intended for group sharing.
You can monitor the status of your invites by clicking Sent Invites under the Invites tab.
What is English Premiership (EPL) fantasy pools?
EPL Fantasy Pools on OfficePools are fantasy soccer contests based on the English Premier League season. Participants build and manage teams made up of real EPL players to compete for the highest score based on player performance in actual matches.
How Do They Work?
Participants earn points based on real-life stats like:
- Goals
- Assists
- Clean sheets
- Saves (for goalkeepers)
- Minutes played
- And more (depending on scoring rules)
The goal is to outscore other teams in your pool over the course of the season or a defined timeframe.
What Pool Formats Are Available?
OfficePools offers several EPL fantasy formats:
- Box Pool: Pick one player per group (box); great for large groups.
- Draft Pool: Take turns selecting players—no duplicates allowed.
- Open Pool: Build a custom team based on admin-defined roster rules; players can be repeated across teams.
- Pick’em Pool: Predict winners of each week’s EPL matches.
- Survivor Pool: Pick one team to win each week—no repeats; elimination-style.

How do I invite people to my EPL pool?
Once your EPL pool is set up, inviting participants is quick and easy. You have two options:
1. Shareable Invite Link (Best for Most Groups)
- Go to the Invites tab in the Admin menu.
- Copy the Shareable Invite Link.
- Paste it into an email, group chat, text, or social media post.

These links can only be used once and aren’t meant for forwarding.
Check Invite Status
To track who’s accepted or still pending, click Sent Invites under the Invites tab.
Tip: Make sure your pool setup is complete before sending invites, including templates and scoring settings.
How do Admins add teams to an EPL pool?
Admins can add teams manually to an EPL pool if they prefer to enter them on behalf of participants.
To Add a Team Manually:
Go to the Admin menu.
Click on the Roster tab.
Select Team Editor from the sub-menu.
Click + Create Team.
Enter Team Details:
Fill in the Team Name and Email Address of the participant.
(Optional) Mark the team as Paid.
Make player selections for the team based on the pool’s format (Box, Draft, or Open).
Click Save, or Save and Add Another to enter more teams.
What Happens Next?
The participant will receive an email notification prompting them to connect to their team.
Once they sign in or create an OfficePools account using that email, the team will appear on their dashboard.
Until the participant connects, you’ll see a “Remind to Connect” option below their team name in the team list.
How does a poolie claim/connect to a team?
If a team was entered by the admin, the poolie simply needs to sign in using the same email the admin used.
- If the poolie doesn’t yet have an account, they’ll need to create and verify one.
- If they use a different email, the admin must update the email in Admin > Roster > Team List to match their OfficePools account.
How does the admin change an EPL pool type?
If no picks have been made, you can change the pool type after finishing the 5-step Setup Wizard:
- Go to the Admin menu.
- Select the General tab.
- Click Admin Actions.
- Choose Change Pool Type, select the new format, and click Save.
- This does not apply to Pick’em/Survivor Pools
You’ll be guided through the setup steps for the new format.
How do I trade a player?
Trading rules vary depending on the pool format and your admin’s settings.
Box Pool
- Replace a player with someone from the same box.
Draft/Open Pool
- Trade between teams, pick up free agents, activate reserve players, or trade draft picks.
- Scoring Note: You keep points earned by the dropped player up to the trade date. The new player’s points begin counting from the trade’s effective date.
How to Make a Trade (Poolies)
1. Go to the TRADES tab from the standings page.
2. Choose one of the following:
- Trade A Player – Exchange, free agent, or package trade.
- Reserve Activation – Move a player from reserve to active roster.
3. Select the player you want to drop and the player to add.
Trade types:
- Another poolie’s player → Exchange Trade
- Available player → Free Agent Trade
- Same box → Box Trade
If draft pick trades are enabled, you can include picks in exchange offers.
4. Click Confirm Exchange:
- Exchange Trades go to the other poolie for approval.
- All trades (unless auto-approved) are reviewed by the Admin.
Admin Trade Settings
- Go to ADMIN > TRADING > Trade Settings.
- Enable any combination:
Allow Exchange Trades- Allow Free Agent Trades
- Allow Draft Pick Trades
- Allow Reserve Activation
- Allow Box Trades
If using Free Agent Trades, you can:
- Set a trade period (e.g., Daily, Weekly)
- Restrict by position
- Hide drafted players
Admins can also process trades manually using the relevant trade sub-tabs.

Invited to a Pool?
Sign in or create an account using the email address you provided to your pool admin. Once you’re logged in, the pool will appear in your dashboard.
If you received a link from your admin, click it to join the pool.
