No. Picks lock game by game, right before each match kicks off — so you can come back and make your picks as each round approaches.

No, scoring settings are locked in Pick’em pools and can’t be edited.

International Tournament Pick’em is a fun, easy-to-play format offered by OfficePools for major global soccer competitions like the:

  • FIFA World Cup
  • UEFA Euro Championship
  • Copa América

How It Works:

Participants predict the outcome of each match in the tournament (Win, Draw, or Loss), and earn points for correct picks.

Why Play?

  • Great for casual fans and hardcore supporters alike
  • Easy to set up and join—no fantasy rosters to manage
  • Perfect for office contests, friend groups, or social clubs during major tournaments

Once you’ve selected “Pick’em Pool” and chosen your international tournament (e.g., FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro, Copa América), follow these steps to complete your setup:

Step 1: General Settings

  • Pool Name:
    • Give your pool a custom name (e.g., World Cup 2024 Pick’em Challenge).
  • Start and End Dates:
    • The Start and End Dates are automatically set to match the full tournament schedule. However, you can adjust these dates if you’d like to limit the picking period to only part of the tournament.
  • Optional Features:
    • Enable Trash Talk – Allows poolies to chat within the pool
    • Show Team Owners in Standings – Displays real names and profile pictures in the leaderboard

Step 2: Scoring Settings

  • Max Picks per Game Day:
    • Set how many matches poolies can pick each day (default allows picks for all available games).
  • Drop Lowest Periods (Optional):
    • Choose to drop 0–4 of a poolie’s lowest-scoring match days or weeks from their total score. Helpful for longer tournaments or to allow a buffer for missed picks.
  • Scoring Type:
    • The format is Straight-Up only — participants pick the match winner or select a draw.
  • Default Scoring:
    • 1 point is awarded per correct pick.
  • Click Save to finalize your settings.

Step 3: Invite Poolies

Once your pool is created:

  • Head to the Invites tab.
  • Share the Shareable Invite Link for mass invites, or use Personal Invite Links for direct, one-time invitations.

Participants can begin making picks as soon as the tournament schedule is available.

Once your Pick’em pool is set up, inviting participants is easy. You have two options:

1. Shareable Invite Link (Best for Groups)

  • Go to the Invites tab in the Admin menu.
  • Copy the Shareable Invite Link and send it via email, text, or social media.
  • This link can be used multiple times and allows for multiple team entries (if enabled).

2. Personal Invite Link (One-Time Use)

  • In the Invites tab, select the Email option.
  • Enter email addresses manually or select from previous pools.
  • Click Add, then Send.

Note: Personal Invite Links are single-use and not intended for group sharing.

You can monitor the status of your invites by clicking Sent Invites under the Invites tab.

If a team was entered by the admin, the poolie simply needs to sign in using the same email the admin used.

  • If the poolie doesn’t yet have an account, they’ll need to create and verify one.
  • If they use a different email, the admin must update the email in Admin > Roster > Team List to match their OfficePools account.
